Paula White discusses the principle of First Fruits with Dr. Bishop Neil Ellis from Mount Tabor Union Baptist Church in Nassau, Bahamas and how God should always be first. "God's word always works for you or against you."

Mathew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God has an order of first in all things God calls The Principle of First Fruits:

1. Anytime something is a first thing, first fruit or devoted thing - God always lays claim to it.

2. God sees the first thing as the root governing all the rest.

What does this mean? It means if you don't put God first, NOTHING in our life will work out.

All things are supported by the basis or foundation.

Psalm 11:3 says If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? God declares all first things belong to Him in order to establish redeeming covenant with everything that comes after.

This discussion really changed my view about "jealousy". If it is not good for humans to get jealous, how can I worship a God who is a jealous God? But this is not what God being a jealous God means at all. God used certain words to convey to humans what His needs are in a way we could interpret Him. Bishop Neil Ellis breaks it down in a way we as emotional humans can understand it. He talks about how his wife would feel if she knew that she wasn't the first woman in his life. Albeit, we mere humans are not God and can feel negative emotions while God does not, a sexual relationship makes two become one and I have not met one woman who is not sensitive to not being first in her man's life. Jesus says "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed ADULTERY with her in his heart." This is serious. That means that the sexual relationship between a man and woman and the vows of marriage or so sacred that if a man even lusts at another woman, flirts or thinks about another woman, the woman can feel that because he has already committed adultery. Women are not jealous beings but just wind up getting with men who are not completely focused on them in a marriage and they wind up feeling that and go crazy. In my experience the women are not usually acting jealous if the man acts right. When our relationship to God is right and we are One and are doing our parts, supporting each other, loving each other, putting God first with each other, then there is no jealousy or no trepidation and there is no confusion. There are only two emotions really, love and fear and when we are not loving God 100% fear starts to enter our lives. 

The Bishop explains God created us, gave us purpose, life, we are living in God's world, how dare we not put Him first? He says "If you want to mess up your destiny, forget your origin". If we put other people first how are they going to know where we are supposed to go when they don't even know where they are going? 

(Romans 11:16) For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

If we put our pastor, friend, spouse, morgage first before God then we have given someone else an authority over our lives. Our life is faulty because it's out of order. Jesus says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God." We are seekers he says, our jobs are to seek and that's why the Devil joins us because he is seeking too to Destroy. Jesus came to Save. Our responsibility is to seek the Kingdom and when we seek it life no longer becomes a burden. In John 10:10 Jesus says "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Life is supposed to be a rejoice. "You will be replenished - full, overflow, satisfied."

Exodus 13:1 The Lord said to Moses, "Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal."

Exodus 22:29 "Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats. You must give me the firstborn of your sons. Do the same with your cattle and your sheep."

Bishop says it is a matter of trust and God wants us to trust Him with all our soul, love, and body.

They talk of first fruit offerings and there is a lot of critisism about this especially in communities where there is no ecomomic empowerment. Many see poor people give all they have to the church but not to other types of education or institutions that can be beneficial to the community as well. But in truth, if you pray, meditate and know God and that He manifests differently for many different people, your first fruit offering doesn't have to be just to a church, or religious broadcast if you cannot get to a church, it can be to other good holy people, a charity, or somewhere else where God resides, like to the preservation of nature in our crumbling inner cities, programs for natural health, food to the needy and research to make sick people's lives easier so that they can receive God better.  For instance, let's say you do not have a lot of money, and can hardly put your children through school, that one penny to God or to a good cause means something. And remember, you are carrying the most precious temple around with you that you can offer your first fruit offering too; your precious body. By praying, fasting, eating right and treating your body right, and keeping your mind clear on God, you are giving to the most precious church because as master healer and faster Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God is Within You". Treat yourself, your body, your speech, and mind with love and give your first fruit offerings to things God would approve of. You will be more blessed by the act of giving in this life in the next life then you ever dreamed imaginable.

Joyce tells us that wherever she is in the U.S. she makes sure she is at Church on Sunday because that is God's day. The Bishop says that giving God first fruits does not make you immune to certain things but offers you protection from those negative things that will come up in your life. They speak of how Jesus was God's First Fruit Offering now God has lots of sons that praise Him because of Jesus. God wants to live with you and be with you in love, peace, happiness and fufillment always and help keep the Enemy away. Always put God first and everything in your life will change and miracles will start to happen.
